Change Your Mind And Your Life Through Faith Healing

By Meeri Banks

Most doctors have experienced the placebo effect, where a harmless sugar pill brings about a cure. Faith healing builds on this experience, and recognize that our minds can heal us, but they can also make us ill in the first place. It is the belief in any medical treatment which cures, as much as any actual physical effects from prescription drugs.

But faith healers go beyond this: people have been cured even though they doubted whether the treatment would work. And sometimes there is no cure, because the patient has strong subconscious beliefs which prevent it. Another factor is that you must change your habits of thought to prevent a recurrence of this or another problem.

Energy healing also works with our belief systems in a very similar way. It seems that our negative beliefs show up as blockages in our energy meridians, and these can be removed by tapping or stimulating certain points on the meridians. Here, too, there may be resistance involved, as there may be deep-seated beliefs which need to be changed first.

Many doctors also cure patients partly because they fill the patient with a sense they will be cured. In fact, all really good doctors have this ability to induce the patient to fully accept that a cure will occur. If a patient lacks full confidence in a particular doctor, then it is unlikely that any treatment given will be completely successful.

The good news is that you can also learn to heal people using these methods. There are a number of courses available, and there is sure to be one that will suit your needs. Knowing how to heal others is very satisfying and will improve your sense of self-worth, while your friends or family will benefit and you might even take it up professionally.

You might have heard that you cannot heal yourself, but some healers able to treat themselves successfully. It all depends on your inner beliefs whether you will need to call on a fellow healer or not. Even if this is a problem for you, you can still have the joy of helping your family and friends to overcome illnesses.

Modern health workers are aware of the important role beliefs play in helping patients recover. Co-opting the subconscious mind can speed recovery dramatically. Once you become attuned to the effects your thoughts can have, your whole attitude to events and other people will start to change and empower your whole life.
