Advanced Solar Panels Benefit The Environment And Your Biggest Investment

By Dorothy Cooper

It is fairly safe to say that most people believe in global warming. Even the naysayers can't deny the winters are getting milder, and the summers are getting hotter. Whether you believe it is caused by the carelessness of our human footprint or just a phase in God's great plan, everyone's electricity bill continues to go up. You may have no control over what your utility company decides to charge, but you can become independent with the use of advanced solar panels.

This technology harnesses the sun's light and turns it into natural electricity. Even if you have misgivings about global warming, it is hard to deny what a good investment installing one of these systems is for your bottom line. Of course you will save on your energy bills each month. You may not have considered how your home will increase in value with the technology though.

You may have thought adding a pool in the backyard or remodeling the kitchen were improvements to be made some time in the distant future, but with this technology you can make these improvements much sooner. When you consider the rebate programs available, the tax credits you will earn, and the utilities bills that are a fraction of previous times, you begin to see how your pool can become a reality.

You probably cringe every time you open your utility bill. Effective use of the sun will reduce your line item expense for electricity to zero. If you decide to borrow money to purchase your system, the monthly payments can take the place of your electric bill until the loan is paid in full. Once that happens, you can enjoy the savings.

When you have to depend on the utility company to power your heat, air, lights, and water heater, bad weather can be a big inconvenience. Flushing a toilet in a power outage will be problematic if you get your water from a well. Solar systems are built to survive weather conditions and keep you cool or warm and well lit.

Installing this technology today puts you ahead of the curve. Renewable energy is the future no matter how hard the coal industry and others generating dirty energy argue against it. With government agencies and private corporations fearful of a disruption in our power grid system, renewable energy and windmills make us far less vulnerable. Municipalities are slowing getting on board requiring all new construction to have solar panels.

Last of all, but certainly not the least, renewable energy is good for the environment. Harmful emissions pollute our air and our lungs. Greenhouse gases increase the rate we are heating the earth. Acid rain pollutes our oceans and adversely affects marine wildlife. Pollutants case disease in humans, animals, and plant life. It can even lead to death.

Instead of clinging to the past and systems that no longer work, individuals would do better to embrace the future. Renewable energy is an important part of that future. Getting on board now makes good sense for you, your home, and the environment.
