Another popular treatment of this is through transplantation that involves some surgical techniques. The process starts from getting the follicles from some body parts or donor site and transferring it to the part which is bald or recipient site. This is usually the treatment for men. Hair follicles will then be transplanted to bald scalp.

There are still some people in Delaware who believe in treatments which are not proven. But there can still be small evidences for the effectiveness of minerals, vitamins, and some other dietary supplements for regrown and retain. Laser therapy is one unproven treatment. It uses special kinds of lights and lasers, but these are proven to be safe.

Saw palmetto, a small palm leaf which is fan shaped that have sharp tooth stalks, is also one type of a dietary supplement which is not typically recommended. This has an unconfirmed benefit to people who has mild to average androgenic alopecia. Other types supplements used are ginseng, gingko, bergamot, biotin, and aloe vera.

Hair deficiency may be prevented or may be slowed if it is treated immediately while in the early stages. In some researches, there is a relation between some health issues and loss. Heart disease may be one of the health issues.

People often say that it is connected to coronary artery disease, but some articles says that it is not true since it is not yet proven. According to some dermatologists, further studies should be conducted first. Some factors are still being reviewed.
